So, the new tileset isn't quite done, but I've done enough edits to it that I figured it was worth uploading my progress so far. Here's a quick preview:

I still have a decent-sized todo list here, but I'm also starting work on another game that's been bouncing around my head for even longer than this one... wish me luck!

The latest update of Welcome to Silverscale Lake is out!

1.7 changes:

  • Improved sprites
  • Faction standing rebalance
  • Minor dialogue clean-up

Next step will be editing the tileset, but I think I need to take a break and work on some other stuff- I've had some ideas for another game that I want to try getting started on...

Just showing off my progress on the sprite redo, this is page 3 of...8? (I need to count the pages in the RPG Maker folder, I might need to track down another inkscape file):iu_1145577_1705166.webp

So, now that the game itself is mostly complete (or at least as far as I can get without people who aren't me trying to break it), I'm moving on to some aesthetic finishing touches I never got around to, starting with updating the sprites- the ones currently in Welcome to Silverscale Lake! were kind of slapped together to get the character design finalized properly, and they're perfectly serviceable... but I can do better.

So, here's how that's been coming along:

For comparison, here's the current version of the same sprite sheet I'm currently working on:

Idk, I think it's an improvement...?
